Cold Rolled Steel
Cold rolled steel is made from hot rolled steel. Once the steel has been cooled to room temperature, it is pressed through a roller to create a smoother, flatter product. It has a low carbon content and an oily surface.
Some people refer to this as “mild” carbon steel.
Since it is soft enough to bend flat without cracking, cold rolled steel’s most common uses include machine parts, appliances, and metal furniture.
